How To Start A Junior Volleyball Club

Heart of America Volleyball (HOA) is 1 of 40 regions in USA Volleyball (USAV). HOA provides a platform for a quality volleyball experience in education, training, and competition. Our region promotes safe and welcoming environments. HOA Volleyball prioritizes child safety by requiring all adults involved with junior volleyball players to complete safety training/certification.

The 220+ volleyball clubs within our region are made up of as few as one team to over 40! Find out more information below about the benefits of joining HOA Volleyball as well as what is required of our volleyball clubs.

Does it cost to join HOA Volleyball?

We do not charge a club to join HOA Volleyball. The only requirement is that all members of the volleyball club (players, coaches, team volunteers, etc.) are registered with HOA/USAV. Membership price depends on the role of the participant. You can view our membership page to see what memberships are available to our region members.

Why do I need a membership?

Memberships to HOA/USAV allow for the volleyball club and/or participant to utilize insurance that is provided to all members. It also allows for your volleyball club to participate in any USAV sanctioned event throughout the country without needing to purchase a secondary membership.

What does a club volleyball season look like?

HOA membership season runs from September 1 to August 31 of the following year. Between this time, volleyball clubs can choose how many volleyball tournaments they participate in. HOA Volleyball does not require a minimum amount of volleyball tournaments to be played in. While bulk of tournaments in our region happen January-April, volleyball clubs can choose their own schedule for play within the season.
