Powerleague Qualifiers

Because of extreme high registration numbers, we are expanding the maximum numbers of teams that will be accepted in the 14, 15 and 16 Powerleague Qualifying tournaments to 25 teams. Some teams will be eliminated from the Powerleague after pool play in the qualifying tournament. No more than 25 teams will be accepted in these divisions! The last remaining openings will be rewarded to the first teams that get their registration in the office and are approved for competition.
Road Construction Alert

The HOA facility is near a major construction zone which may cause some detours for people coming and leaving HOA.
This construction may last for another year. The latest change is for those exiting from I-70, you can't turn Right on Kansas Avenue - continue 1 block then turn Right and then turn Right again and left onto Kansas.

Show Me National Qualifier officially announced

USA Volleyball, the Heart of America region and MAVs VBC are proud to announce the inaugural "Show Me National Qualifier" on April 3, 4 and 5 2009. The event will be held at the Kansas City Missouri convention center (Barttle Hall).
You can find all details on the official website of the qualifier.
The American Volleyball Challenge will no longer be held, but as part of the qualifier, we will run the "Select" division on April 4 & 5 with a similar schedule as the AVC used to have. The fee for this 2 day event will be $390.
Registrations for all divisions, including the Select division will be handled through AES and USA Volleyball.

Hot Winter AVP Nite at Sprint Center!

The AVP Hot Winter Nights Pro Beach Volleyball will be back at the Sprint Center on January 23, 2009. We have been informed that Phil Dalhausser and Casey Jennings will lead the men and Elaine Youngs & Angie Akers will headline the women.

10 and under volleyball

Last year we successfully introduced a new format for 10 and under volleyball. Several clubs participated and we hope to expand the 10 and under and 8 and under divisions. "Blem" balls are back

Looking for a good leather practice ball at the price of a composite? Here is a good opportunity. We have a number of Tachikara all leather blem balls again. These balls are all white and cost only $30 a piece.
We also have a smaller number of the SV5WM leather ball (lower grade ball than the SV5W Gold) available in Red, White & Royal Blue for only $25 a piece.
Both of these balls will make a great practice ball at a reduced price. Contact the HOA office if you are interested in those balls. They will go pretty quick.
